FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
DAN MASTERSON RELEASES DEBUT FULL-LENGTH ALBUM
WHEN REALITY CALLS AT THUNDER ROAD ON FEBRUARY 9
Dan Masterson is a proud, yet anxious millennial. On Friday, February 9, the piano pop-rocker will celebrate the release of his 100% fan-funded, full-length album, When Reality Calls, at Somerville’s Thunder Road. He will be joined by Adam Sickler, Emma Jayne, and That One Eyed Kid.
Produced by Dave Brophy, When Reality Calls takes on issues of digital dependency, romance, and economic stress. This album grew through collaboration with longtime bandmates Alec Gaston (co-producer), Matthew Silva, and Jamie Howell. The resulting musical and sonic exploration is a nod to the the album’s overarching theme: unplug and gather for a meaningful experience. This ambiance will be recreated at Thunder Road on February 9, where attendees will be encouraged to turn off their phones and leave the workweek behind (if only for a few hours).
The album will be available on all streaming and download services on February 9. Following the Boston release, Masterson will perform a Providence release at Ryan Spaulding’s Outlaw Roadshow on February 15.
